Directions to Kings Mountain State Park
Coming from either South or North on I85, take exit 8 (King’s Mtn.)
Turn on Hwy. 161 going South. Go 5 miles.
Just past the South Carolina border, turn right on Park Rd. into King’s Mountain State Park.
The Latitude/Longitude are:Lat 35º09’36″N/Long 81º19’37” W.
Take a left after the office at the Camp York sign.
Take a right at the York/Cherokee split, towards York.
Map to Camp Forest (Cheraw State Park, SC).
Camp Forest (listed as “Cheraw Park” on Google Maps) is on the opposite side of the lake from the main State Park entrance. There is a separate entrance off HWY 52.
There will be a sign labeled “Campground, Boat Ramp, & Group Camps”.
You will pass the main camp ground and boat ramp. Camp Forest will be at the end of the dirt road.
